In essence, I was the lone voice of reason in a system that had abandoned it, and subsequent events have validated nearly all of my concerns about Quebec's pandemic policy. Simply for doing what academics are supposed to do — pose difficult, evidence-grounded questions — I was smeared, censored, and personally targeted by my Ph.D. supervisor.

SO awesome that these individuals who were put through the mill prevailed in the end. It's a pain in the ass and health-havoc-wreaking STRESS to have to go through the tedious rigmarole to fight a totalitarian injustice, but I know for sure that these individuals had a peaceful, clean and good conscience every night they laid their head down on their pillows at night knowing they were holding integrity to their beliefs and principles. So incredibly happy about this outcome for them, and SO satifsfying for the University to have to eat crow in the end and acquiesce restitution. Thanks for reporting on this! (Also, "“Because they had the courage to say ‘no’ when their religious freedoms were trampled, people .....across the country now enjoy stronger protections.”--- THIS is such an important point for everyone in the populace to keep in mind and think about!!! These individuals and their attorneys contributed to EVERYONE in the society to have their rights re-instituted / strengthened! AMEN).
