Sadly I don’t expect more from Penn. I’ve a child who just graduated from Penn Med and the head of the med school droned on and on at graduation at how fortunate we all were to have masks and mRNA technology made possible in part by Penn and their commitment to Moderna. I love my child very much but I almost ran out of the auditorium screaming.
Terrific response. My question would be is the University willing to assume all liability should this "mild myocarditis" cause health issues for these young men in the future? If they believe there are no issues from these vaccines, they should be willing to compensate these kids should this untested medication have any long-term effects.
As we know the Federal research money flows from Federal Agencies (NIH,CDC, FDA), which in turn take money from Pharma. The diktats coming from NIH etc., come with a heavy price to pay if you don't keep in line.

It appears that this Chief Wellness Officer has excelled in creative writing 110 —— perhaps it is time to find a person who can objectively evaluates data an makes an intelligent decision rather than one based on creativity and subjectively that seems to be motived by political mindset or follow the sheep mentality or just plain ignorance to the facts , the health and well being of our children. My family on my mother's side has genetic heart conditions. My grandfather, powerful man he was, had a weak ticker and I lost two cousins to heart failure before they hit 42..After my first cousin died in the 90s, the heart institute where I live ordered the entire family to come in for tests. Another round was recommended after his brother (yes, same family) passed away a few years back.
I still remember my talk with the cardiologist during my first test. She said, 'we take all heart conditions very seriously.'
The heart is the organ that drives life. Yet, here we have cardiologists claiming something serious like myocarditis can be 'mild'? Worse, that somehow the 'vaccine' is so safe it only induces the mild form and not the dangerous one we've all come to understand? Tickle me skeptical Nothing makes sense in this narrative.
And here are academics simply focusing on ONE side of the narrative without considering the overall impact on health for students while conducting an actual cost-benefit analysis. The bottom line is anyone under 60 who is healthy doesn't need to be coerced into an mRNA injection that is proving to be unsafe, ineffective and pointless.

(1) CDC’s Rochelle Walensky confirmed as early as July 2021 that the vaccines did not prevent infection or transmission? And further,
2. Among fully vaccinated populations (including colleges), outbreaks have been reported, confirming that vaccination did not offer community protection?
The first lines of his response is the most telling: "bla bla we relied in the (insert 3-letter agency) to provide guidance during the pandemic bla bla". The finger pointing begins. Don't be distracted by the posturing because every day is going to get worse for these souless creatures.
Hasn’t ANY research been conducted at thousands of universities mandating the shot? Some of it must contraindicate forcing kids to get it. Don’t they have any PhD statisticians who can do this analysis? Are their own researchers being muzzled?

He obviously does not know the facts regarding these injections, & he does not know the minimal risk of Covid for the college age bracket. Also, most people by now have either been infected or vaccinated..& the vaccines don’t work anyway! Additionally, myocarditis is anything but mild, & it has no quick resolution! These individuals have such damaged hearts, it could take years off their lives! And, who wants to be put on a lifelong medication for the condition anyway!?! Until the financial ties & conflict of interests are addressed, the Universities will never acknowledge science and data, in my opinion.
