You would be hard pressed to find someone who would challenge the notion that without freedom of speech, a society can no longer thrive and prosper. Yet freedom of expression has never been more in jeopardy on college campuses than it is right now, and the higher education institutions that vehemently purport to protect freedom of speech are among the greatest culprits suppressing it.
