This is so important. I read that we are facing a shortage of health care professionals, and I hope the hospitals and schools understand what they stand to lose by persisting with unjust, harmful mandates. I have a college student who is very interested in pursuing an MD/PhD, but who may end up going for a JD/PhD if these programs don't change. This is someone interested in public health, access for the underserved, and the healthy of communities... I would hate to see her not pursue her dream, but it's not worth risking her health or future fertility to do so. This is not a choice anyone should have to make when the risk/reward is nonexistent.
both my kids went into college thinking they were pre-health. and now they're both in engineering because of the insane vaccination requirements. I think it's just an easy route for the schools, to go along with the hospitals and clinics. It's laziness and bureaucratic thinking. so, probably best they took their critically-thinking minds out of that environment. US healthcare is turning into a giant DMV now, seems like.
Make sure your child is aware of the potential pitfalls. Some parts of the country are worse than others, but this is a national problem for health care students.
Thank you. I am encouraging her to look at programs that aren't on the East or West coasts, but even states that are otherwise reasonable have these requirements at med schools (UT Southwestern in Dallas is one of them). Or they'll trip you up saying it's not required for classwork, but you won't be able to enter a clinical setting without them. I understand the need for some additional vaccines in healthcare settings (Hep-B comes to mind) but the allegiance to this one defies logic.
Southern Adventist University in Tennessee and Colorado Christian University in Denver are incredible Nursing and offer a rigorous premed programs and have enough clinical sites that don’t require vaccination. I did ALOT of research to locate these to schools for my pre nursing daughter.
After all, that's what DEI is really about. It's not about including anybody. It's about EXCLUDING conservatives and independent thinkers. Conservative blacks go to the back of the progressive bus, same as white conservatives. The entire point of progressivism is 'comply, or else'. It's 1984 all over again.
What a great post! Have been following this blog since the beginning. In September 2021 my daughter was forced to leave her nursing program (with only 2 clinical courses left and despite being an honors student) due to her vaccination status as the clinical rotations were scheduled at a UPenn facility. She had a medical exemption but was told by her college there were no exemptions to students who were visiting the clinical sites from other schools. We hired an attorney to no avail. In January 2022, she was able to start a new RN diploma program from the beginning because they would not accept her previous clinical courses. Although this set her back over a year, she is now an RN working with an accepted medical exemption. She will complete her BSN this May. We are so proud of her perseverance and advocating for herself through the battle which seemed impossible. It cost all of us tens of thousands in extra tuition and her having to uproot and move away but money is never worth sacrificing ones health or principles.
What your daughter has learned is a “gift”. Her knowledge from this experience will be with her through her journey in life, especially with human beings that need her help and care.
You should be extremely proud of your daughter (of course you are)! 👍😉
this is a tragic story - for the health of the people of the Philadelphia region. it is a loss for us. but kudos to you and your daughter for doing the right thing!
Sad what she went through. An "accepted medical exemption" has the ring of "safe and effective". In my day, it was Hepatitis vaccines that were required, at least justified by the potential for contraction by needle stick. With the jabbo, it does nothing for which it was billed, but has effects that the guinea pigs were unaware of.
It's easy for an outsider to say, but your daughter's travails were well worth it. She has her health, her personal autonomy intact, and still has her career. She knows how to navigate injustices in her life far more than most people, even at her young age. I am sure you are very proud of her.
The most complicit people in the Covid scam are of course in the health care industry. Medical schools and the like are giant brainwashing machines for Big Pharma so it’s totally expected for them to continue in their totalitarian ways.
It all about seeing which students will be "compliant." This is a good measuring stick for if they'll be compliant in the future, because you know, that's what's most important. 🤡
Time to get aggressive. Set up an informational van down the street from these universities and put up signs and start a conversation going with students and parents. Have coffee and maybe even cookies available.
Get some mass emails going on the university system. IT will warn students not to open the email, but who cares? As long as the university can’t sue.
Time to see if university newspapers can allow some free speech in their newspapers? Run an article.
Encourage all concerned people to make healthy choices about where they will spend educational dollars.
After all, there’s no medical justification and plenty of potential harm.
A student damaged could end up costing society plenty, especially if it’s serious and that student hobbles on through life needing ongoing medical care.
Covid vaccine mandates are only one way that colleges are destroying the health and well-being of our next generation. They are indoctrinating them in woke extreme ideas and taking away their rights to free speech, safe spaces, women-only sports...my question is: why is anyone PAYING for this abuse of power over them? There are still choices in this country.
If they wanna weed out people.... Let's flip the script and use psychology to weed out mentally and emotionally disabled people that cannot perceive REALITY.
- in the future, let's down rank people who still think the shots are safe
- let's also down rank people who were early adopters, as they had no real information
And
- anyone in a position of power over others, by policy or supervision should take an empathy test which screens out PSYCHOPATHS and SOCIOPATHS.
Your readers - and college students - might be interested in my in-depth feature story on Richard Hirschman, the famous/infamous embalmer who first showed the world images of the “horrifying” clots he was seeing in up to 50 percent of the bodies he embalmed.
If you read or skim the story, please note the link I added about a medical professional who recently became a whistleblower and reported that doctors and nurses are removing these worm-like substances from patients “three to 10 times every week.” They are NOT forming only “post-mortem.”
I’d guess it’s for the same reason they pushed the college kids so hard and there are 70+ colleges today that still require shots. Psychological conditioning for unquestioning acceptance to the state regardless of logic. Covid-19 is the name and obedience is the game. Prepping a new generation for a not so brave new world.
There should be an analysis of vaccine injuries/deaths among college students in universities that mandated the shots v. those universities who did not mandate them. The cohorts are likely to be very similar health-wise, invalidating healthy user bias, age-wise there’s no issue, so the analysis should be fairly straightforward.
I know I read about a case with the college mandating the COVID vax that the judge struck down because the shot doesn’t stop the spread and therefore it’s a personal decision, not something that can be mandated. Perhaps CHD has the info because it’s precedent setting. Also CHD won a religious exemption in Mississippi because it’s discriminatory to give a medical exemption w/o a religious one. CHD will use that precedent to go after the states that don’t allows religious exemption. One way or another they should be able to their freedom to choose. My question is what’s with the student still wanting to be with these people after they show you how they will treat them. Google puts medicine as the third leading killer of all Americans so if you want to really help people there are less dangerous and more successful methods out there. Is it just the money?? I don’t get it??
It’s sickening and demonic what the colleges (and schools) did and are still doing to our young adults. The American College Health Association (ACHA) has a lot to do with it. I looked into them and what I found was horribly upsetting. They have a lot of pull and are financed by big Farma and the CDC. Most parents and students have no idea. I wish more students would have banned together and fought this madness.
Thank you for writing this. Astonishing that the dangerous and worse-then-ineffective jabs are still required at all.
Thank you for your kind words. Keep fighting for the next generation!

Are we all living in an insane asylum?!
There's an old saying, "The inmates are running the asylum."
In many ways, yes.

I can sum this up in one word: STUPIDITY
Stupidity is equal opportunity.
I lost my job of 23 years (March 1, 2021), because I refused the test/jab.
I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS STILL BEING ARGUED.
Stupidity

You are correct. MANY organizations like ACHA are bought and paid for by Pharma and the Gov't agencies, including the HBCUs.
